It really wont be that much better in the south, and west coast regions, but at least its just usually cold air & minimal ice vs feet of snow. I suggest the 'Sling Shot' & 'Fab Down' Jackets for Women & the 'Shadow' & 'Ares' Jackets for Men. Just google them :)
